This allows you to:
Understand the truck’s True Market Value
Negotiate the Right Discount for repairs
Avoid expensive surprises down the road
With our expertise, you’ll know whether the truck is worth buying and how much it’s really worth.

Unlike the common market trend where heavy and light vehicles are inspected by random mechanics, every truck inspection at Last Check is carried out by Licensed Senior Truck Mechanics. Each of our inspectors has over two decades of hands-on experience in truck inspection, repair, and maintenance.
Their expertise goes far beyond a standard check. They understand the complexities of heavy vehicle engines and can accurately interpret even the smallest signs — from unusual sounds, vibrations, and leaks, to smoke, hydraulic performance, and structural concerns.
This level of knowledge sets us apart in the industry and ensures that our clients receive the most reliable, precise, and trustworthy inspection outcomes available. After the inspection, the inspector will also answer all your technical questions and explain what needs to be done for every issue detected so have your questions ready and feel free to ask us anything.

At Last Check, we perform mobile pre-purchase truck inspections. We come to your location or the seller’s address and inspect the truck where it is located so that you do not need to do anything.
We perform a complete visual inspection on the truck and send you an independent truck inspection report indicating the issues we have found as well as all other things you need to know before making your final decision.
During the inspection, all visible parts of the truck get fully inspected including body and paint, chassis, underbody, suspension and oil leaks, engine, gearbox and all electronics.
The inspection includes a full test drive of the truck as well to ensure the performance is good on the road with special attention to all safety points including braking and steering.

We also perform special paint, accident and rust assessments on all used trucks to ensure the truck is not accidental, the paint quality is still good and the rust is not too severe.
After the inspection, your inspector will call you and give you a rundown of all the faults he has detected and answer all your technical questions.
Be sure that the inspector appointed to inspect the truck has the complete knowledge of the heavy vehicle and can assist you with all of your mechanical questions so list down all your questions and ask us after your inspection.
Your inspection also includes a very large picture album with up to 500 pictures showing you all the faults and the panels individually so that you see everything with your own eyes in case you can not attend the inspection.

Last Check Mobile Truck Inspectors can inspect all types of trucks available in the Australian market. We inspect all small and heavy trucks as well as all types of prime movers including road ranger gearbox and automatic transmission.
Here are the Truck Types we inspect:
You can count on Last Check Truck Inspection from A to Z and be reassured that your inspection is done only by the right truck inspector who is fully qualified, experienced and licenced.

Light trucks are vehicles with a GVM of less than 4.5 tonnes, and at Last Check we provide the most accurate Pre-Purchase Inspections for all types of light trucks in Australia. Every component is checked with the highest level of accuracy, leaving nothing to guesswork.
You will know in black and white whether the truck is worth buying or if it’s best to stay away. All inspections are carried out exclusively by Licensed Truck Mechanics, ensuring expert insights backed by decades of experience. With our guidance, you can invest confidently and avoid costly mistakes.

Heavy trucks, with a GVM of 4.5 tonnes or more, require an MR or HR licence to operate and have mechanical systems very different from light trucks. For example, their complex Air Brake Systems must be inspected by experts who fully understand them.
They are also equipped with additional safety features, Exhaust Brakes, and many other advanced systems that demand specialist knowledge to properly inspect and assess.
At Last Check, all heavy truck inspections are performed by Licensed Heavy Diesel Mechanics with decades of experience. They specialise in systems such as Engine Brakes, Air Brakes, and Driveline Components, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
Each inspection includes a Complete Test Drive, and if specialised equipment such as Cranes or Agitators is fitted, the seller or buyer may assist in its operation where special licences are required.

Prime movers are far more complex than other heavy vehicles and at Last Check they are inspected only by our highest level of Licensed Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and prime mover specialists. Structurally, they are very different from standard trucks and come with a far greater number of components, gauges, and advanced systems. Because of this, even the smallest fault can lead to extremely costly repairs if overlooked.
All inspections are carried out by Designated Prime Mover Inspectors with full expertise in every aspect of prime mover systems, from engines and driveline components to advanced instrumentation. A Test Drive is always included to ensure all systems perform correctly under real driving conditions, giving you complete clarity before purchase.

At Last Check, our bus inspection service covers not only diesel-powered trucks but also all light and heavy electric trucks. These inspections are conducted by licensed electric truck mechanics with expertise in electric motor technology.
Electric trucks share many components with conventional trucks, such as chassis, suspension, air brakes, and powertrain systems. However, these inspections require specialised knowledge. For this reason, we assign inspectors with the appropriate expertise in electric vehicle technology to assess critical elements like the electric motor, battery performance, and potential overheating, ensuring you can invest with confidence, free from concerns.
When it comes to body and structural integrity, any collision involving an electric truck can pose significant risks. Even minor contact with the battery can lead to serious and costly consequences. Additionally, structural damage can compromise passenger safety, as it may increase the risk of fire. Rest assured, assessing structural safety is one of our top priorities in electric truck inspections. Even if the truck has been involved in an accident years ago, with no record found online, we can detect the incident and evaluate the severity of the damage.
Please refer to the inspection plans below for a detailed overview of what is covered in our electric truck inspections. In short, all major components are thoroughly examined, ensuring no critical aspect is overlooked.
Buying a Trailer is as hard as purchasing a truck. Trailers are not cheap and, in some cases, can cost more than the value of the truck itself depending on their type.
A registerable Truck Trailer has lots of parts that need an assessment before safely hitting the road.
As well as all the safety points such as tyres and brakes, there are many electronics such as lights and brake wirings and lots of moving parts as air suspension, hydraulics and steerable wheels in some trailers.
Our Specialist Trailer Inspectors with an extensive background in Trailer & Truck Repair will get to the bottom of any trailer for you and inform you of not only the required repairs but with the maintenance and service requirements as well so that you can negotiate the price before purchase.
After our visual inspection, if the trailer ticks all the boxes, another test is recommended and it must be done when the trailer is attached to a truck. It requires two people, one operating the truck and one checking the trailer on the road to ensure the lights, PTO and brakes work just fine.
All these extra tests can be done after the inspection as if the trailer is not a good buy, you will be informed not to waste your time.
