HOW DO WE INSPECT TRUCKS BEFORE PURCHASE?

At Last Check, we perform mobile pre-purchase truck inspections. We come to your location or the seller’s address and inspect the truck where it is located so that you do not need to do anything.

We perform a complete visual inspection on the truck and send you an independent truck inspection report indicating the issues we have found as well as all other things you need to know before making your final decision.

During the inspection, all visible parts of the truck get fully inspected including body and paint, chassis, underbody, suspension and oil leaks, engine, gearbox and all electronics.

The inspection includes a full test drive of the truck as well to ensure the performance is good on the road with special attention to all safety points including braking and steering.

We also perform special paint, accident and rust assessments on all used trucks to ensure the truck is not accidental, the paint quality is still good and the rust is not too severe.

PRE PURCHASE LIGHT TRUCK INSPECTION

Light trucks are vehicles with a GVM of less than 4.5 tonnes, and at Last Check we provide the most accurate Pre-Purchase Inspections for all types of light trucks in Australia. Every component is checked with the highest level of accuracy, leaving nothing to guesswork.

PRE PURCHASE HEAVY TRUCK INSPECTION

Heavy trucks, with a GVM of 4.5 tonnes or more, require an MR or HR licence to operate and have mechanical systems very different from light trucks. For example, their complex Air Brake Systems must be inspected by experts who fully understand them.

PRE PURCHASE PRIME MOVER INSPECTION

Prime movers are far more complex than other heavy vehicles and at Last Check they are inspected only by our highest level of Licensed Heavy Vehicle Mechanics and prime mover specialists. Structurally, they are very different from standard trucks and come with a far greater number of components, gauges, and advanced systems. Because of this, even the smallest fault can lead to extremely costly repairs if overlooked.

All inspections are carried out by Designated Prime Mover Inspectors with full expertise in every aspect of prime mover systems, from engines and driveline components to advanced instrumentation. A Test Drive is always included to ensure all systems perform correctly under real driving conditions, giving you complete clarity before purchase.

ELECTRIC TRUCK INSPECTION

TRUCK TRAILER INSPECTION

Buying a Trailer is as hard as purchasing a truck. Trailers are not cheap and, in some cases, can cost more than the value of the truck itself depending on their type.

A registerable Truck Trailer has lots of parts that need an assessment before safely hitting the road.

As well as all the safety points such as tyres and brakes, there are many electronics such as lights and brake wirings and lots of moving parts as air suspension, hydraulics and steerable wheels in some trailers.
